Macrame Christmas Tree | A Handmade Take on the Annual Tradition
Posted on December 01 2017
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… (Ok, that song is going to be stuck in our heads for at least the next 4 hours now, followed directly by Mariah’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’.) It really is the most wonderful time of the year though. The weather is heating up, the year is winding down, the holidays are just around the corner and the social events are taking up each and every spot on already jam-packed calendars.
Our favourite part about Christmas time (well, after the presents, indulgent food and any excuse to drink) is the festive decorating! It’s no secret that we love a neutral, earthy and bohemian interior scheme, and Christmas is no exception. You’d be hard-pressed to find a trace of red or green tinsel in our homes – not that there is anything wrong with that! We just like festive décor to coordinate with our everyday décor (which just so happens to not include festive red or green 😜).
So, in the theme of neutral, earthy, and non-traditional Christmas décor, we created our very own version of a Christmas tree. Hand-woven using branches and cotton rope. We love a good DIY festive decoration as it not only allows you to be creative and have some fun, but it means you can create something that works for your own interior style and compliments your home.
We hope this inspires you to create something special for your own home this Christmas!
